A New Year In The Making

January 15, 2006 - 12:20 p.m.

Dear Diary,
I guess this is my first entry of the new year. Things are back up and extremely busy again. I'm back at school and busy already with the process of that. However I can look forward to this being the last semester for this course and then hopefully entering into university in September for psychology to get my Phd or otherwise, my doctors. We'll see though as I'm scared about my acceptance and such. My grades from high school weren't all that great now either. Mom sent me my transcrips in the mail the other day from back home and I was rather shocked to see the marks that were on the page. Very dissapointing to me. Hopefully though, they won't look too much into them and just keep the mark looking to my college courses. However, it will still be a while before I hear anything from the university since my college marks don't even get sent until I'm done in April. Speaking of college, this was my first week back from having my 27 days off for Christmas break and it was a hard week to try and get back into routines and such. I'm not used to getting up early in the morning to take the bus and and be in class for a certain number of hours a day. I think it'll likely take me a few weeks to fully get back into the routine of everything again and the new classes with different teachers and different people to hang out with again. Again, we'll see...
Christmas was nice. Not fabulous or spectacular or anything amazing, but nice. It was nice to go home to the new house even though every ounce of energy in me did not want to go back since it was the new house and not the house I was use to going home to and things would be very different again. I think the hardest part was getting used to seeing a baby gate at the top of the stairs even though my parents are not ever going to have any more children! It's for the cats. Mom doesn't want my babies going up and sleeping on the beds and such because it just makes for one more floor of cat hair to vaccumm up according to her. It was a nice Christmas though and to be honest, I'm glad that it's over. It's nice to have a break but it's also even nicer to be back on my own, in that sense that I'm not living with my parents and that I have WAY more freedom. Greg and I enjoyed yet again a wonderful third Christmas together with each other even though we each spent our own time with our families alone and then our time together came later on a few days afterwards. Dad, Greg and I went up to my aunt and uncles for a day to see them and the newest arrival to our family. A new baby cousin for me!!! Cousin Jerri-lyne had a baby girl who they named Jaden but not that spelling and she was 5 lbs 8.5 oz. She was sooo tiny and very cute. It was nice to be able to hold one of my cousins again once they were born.
Kirk and Carolann have been busy as well with planning their wedding which now they are more then possitive that they are going to have it this October but they are not yet completely set on the date that they will get married. Originally they were thinking the 6th but I don't think they are sure of that just yet. It will take more time and planning. But, I'm glad to say that I got to see the place they are getting married and it looks soooo pretty. Here is the website and a picture of the place that the wedding is going to happen. http://www.elmhurstinn.com/ Apparently they can have pictures and everything taken there on the grounds outside so everything seems to be pretty much set with that being the place of marriage. I like it very much so I think they'll be happy. Not to mention that it also has a spa and everything! Very cool in my opinion.
Alicia and baby Gavin are also doing well. We've been talking every now and then and I will likely try to get around to calling her again today as Greg has to go out this afternoon over to his uncles place to fix his computer. Alicia has signed up for a college course as an RN and if I remember correctly, I believe she is suppost to start on January 23rd. I hope that she likes it and this is really what she wants to do. She had come such a long and hard road and is finally getting her feet back on the groung for herself and for her baby. I couldn't be more proud of her then what I am at this momment for everything that she is going through. I only wish that I could be there to help her out though in more ways. Hopefully if I talk to her today too she will be able to finally tell me that she has got the Christmas presents I sent to her way back in December. That would be a big releif to hear at least. Anyways, she and everyone else that I have mentioned seems to be doing good in this New Year. Hopefully things remain this way as the year progresses and everything takes shape. I hope that everyone else seems to be doing alright and taking care. I will be writing soon. Take care all!
*love always stacy*
