Relaxation Day

January 06, 2005 - 3:55 p.m.

Dear diary,
Circumstances of the day may result in some tricky situations for you, STACY. You may be caught between a rock and a hard place. The instinct to make war or make peace with any given issue is making you restless. On one hand you may want to smooth things out in a reasonable manner, but on the other there is a part of you that is anxious to declare all out nuclear warfare on the opposing forces.
The day started out rather rocky. Dad was suppost to make it down to pick me up at 9:00am but things didn't exactly turn out that way. I got up at 8:10am and gave him a call to make sure he was still coming down and he said that he couldn't make it because of the roads and the conditions that they were in. We had a winder storm warning hit last night and into this morning so the roads were terrible to drive on and that was the reason that he couldn't make it down today. He promised to make it down this way tomorrow to pick me up so we could do some running around together. I go back to school on monday the 10th so I've got to get all the last minute things done before then. I've got to head to my bank to get a rebate deposited, go to the bus station (terminal) so that I can get a new bus pass for the next four months, pick up new bus schedules, go to the college to pick up last semesters marks that were completed on Wednesday, buy all my new books for this semester, and fill out my peer tutoring form and make an appointment with peer services for an interview to see if I will be tutoring this semester. It'll be a busy day. Dad took care of one thing for me yesterday which was going to the LCBO to pick up an Age of Majority card. Apparently they changed the name of it now though and its now called a BYID card. Anyways, he picked one up for me and now all that I have to do is fill it out and send it away. I'm not sure though, but I think I also have to get a money order form to send with it which will be either $25 or $30. Such a load a crap that you have to pay a fee. Its just another fee that the Government takes. So my day didn't turn out quite the way that I had wanted it to. I went back to bed this morning after taking with dad and ended up sleeping until 10:22am. I got up and sat around for a while, watched a little tv and played on my laptop and then I decided to go and take a nice long hot relaxing bubble bath! What can I say? I needed it! I got out and put cream on and got dressed and then had some lunch and read the newspaper, got the mail and talked to Greg's mom for a few minutes. Other then that I just got a big mug full of frothy coffee stuff that tastes like Turtles chocolates and sat here watching tv. Oh, I also looked into getting some natural body products for Alicia and her soon to be coming baby that I could potentially send her soon in the mail. :) *smiles* She asked me to be an aunt to the new little one the other night on the phone and I was so greatful for that! She's going to be such a great mom and I'm going to try and do what I can to help her out. I plan to go out soon and pick up some baby outfits and maybe some little blankets and things to send to her. She's having finacial difficulties so I want to help. That's what friends do. I can't wait to see pictures of her and when the baby comes, the baby as well. :)
Greg gets done work in well, 50 minutes to be exact but then it will take him at least 20 minutes to get across town, especially after today's odd combination of a snow/rain/ice pellets mix of weather today. The roads like I said earlier will be terrible to drive on. I'm hoping that we can get together tonight but Greg had mentioned something about getting together with Doug tonight so I wonder what will be happening. It would be nice though to see him. If not we'll see each other tomorrow. Oh, that reminds me too. I've got to call the Blood Donor Clinic to see when they are open this weekend. I wante do give blood this past weekend but Greg and I never made it so hopefully this weekend we can. It would be nice to anyways. Greg also wants to head to Chapters to have a look at computer programming books which makes me happy since I could be in there for days, possibly even weeks without getting bored! Other then that though, the day has been pretty boring. Mike told me that he was going out with Jill today but hasn't left yet so I don't know what's happening now. Gary's home from school now as well so there isn't much to do but stick up in my room since my guess is that they have taken over the down stairs. Like I say, hopefully I'll be seeing Greg for a little while tonight. Lets hope.
*love always stacy*
