Welcome To October

October 01, 2003 - 10:37 a.m.

Dear Diary,

Dear STACY,

Visits with friends and family members are highlighted today. Regardless of whether they come to you or you go to them, you are bound to have a delightful evening. This is exactly what you will need after the frustration of a long day, complete with delays and mechanical difficulties. Put it all behind you. Pass the pizza, refill the wineglasses, and enjoy some much-deserved down time, STACY.

A new month has finally arrived and its really kind of exciting. A mystery to myself in all accounts of everything but none the less another new begining. So much happends in the month of Ocotber that the time always seems to go the fastest around now. Kirks 25th birthday is tomorrow even though we already celebrated it on Sunday. Then Greg's 21st birthday is coming up on the 11th which is then followed by Thanksgiving on 13th. Emily's birthday is on the 20th, then my brithday on the 27th and low and behold, moms birthday on the 28th. Finally then it will be Halloween on the 31st. So much it seems like each week. I'm looking forward to October though. I think that it is actually one of my most favorite months in the year because the weather cools down considerably, all the leaves change to amazing colours which then proceed to fall to the ground. I love taking nice long slow walks in the fall when it starts to get windy outside and your hair gets blown into your face and there is leaves floating all around you with the wind sounding similar to the wispering cry of a small child. Piles of leaves are made solely for jumping in just to have some laughter and others are indoors by a warm fire sipping on a cup of hot tea. What better is there then that?

The weather people are predicting that we are to expect a rain-snow mixture in the next couple days and last night while sitting down to do some work it began to hail outside. Mom finally decided to turn the heat on here because everyone has been sick with a cold and it has been absolutely freezing around here. This morning dad decided to get out his winter coat to take to work with him because at night when it cools down its too cold to sit outside at break in just a spring jacket and a sweater. I guess thats another reason things are changing and you can tell that October is here. I imagin that mom won't be able to put her clothes out on the clothes line outside anymore either and she will just have to keep them inside to dry from now on.

We got our new couch yesterday and it looks good. Maybe a little too big for the back room but mom doesn't think we will be living here for much longer. Her and dad are set on moving and I think the sooner the better is how they see it in their eyes. They want a nice sized property outside the city somwhere just on the outskirts of town where the taxes are lower in price and its pieceful. I'm not really sure what my overall opinion of thoughts are on this yet. I think for now all I can think of is how they can just say goodbye so suddenly and without thinking things over a little more to 18 years of living here. So many things have happend here. Things of course that I would give anything to be taken from me just to have one day so that I didn't think about them and want to cry but others of which will hold dear to me forever. My whole childhood is here. In this house. Every little part of me is here. It seems though that this is what they are set on and this is what they truly want. I don't think I'll be here much longer anyways so whatever happends happends I guess.

On that note...Welcome to October everyone.

*love always stacy*
